amazing droplet video so much that I thought I should put it up here too. I never went quite as gaga as many folks do over that Feynman schtick about
science and the beauty of a flower, but I have a sense of what he meant here. It’s the fact that the droplets seem to come to rest and then jump again that makes this so weird and captivating – but when you realise they are getting smaller each time, and that it’s the liberated surface free energy that is propelling them upwards, then you have a real sense of “oooh” that you can’t get without knowing some science. Isn’t nature cute?
